How it works
- Open screentime.games/free and type in the words. Spaces, commas or one word per line all work.
- Tap "Make the links."
- Copy the link for the game you like (or all five) and paste it in the class newsletter, Remind, or ClassDojo.
The words themselves live inside the link — not on a server. Nothing about your class is stored anywhere; there's nothing to look up later, and nothing to lose.
Which mode is actual practice
Word Fishing offers three levels of help, and they are not equivalent for your purposes. Show me and See the word keep the word on screen — the child is assembling letters in the right order, which is good for a centre but is not recall. Just hear it plays the word aloud and shows nothing, which is the one that works like a spelling test. Pick that one if you want practice that transfers to Friday.

Questions
- Does it work on school Chromebooks and iPads?
- Yes. It's a web page, not an app — any browser on any device works, including school-managed Chromebooks and iPads.
- Do students need accounts?
- No. There's no sign-in, no email and no password for anyone — the page is public and free to open.
- What do you collect?
- Nothing about a student. There are no student accounts and no names required — the word list stays inside the link itself. We only count page views in aggregate, the same as any website.
- What about a shared classroom Chromebook?
- Links made on a device are remembered in that browser so a kid can find them again — it is the device's own storage, nothing is sent to us. On a shared machine, the "clear" control in the Your games row on the home screen forgets them. Nothing typed into the maker is tied to any student.
- Will the list maker stay free?
- Yes. Everything a template can make — spelling, math facts, vocab pairs, quiz questions — is free and stays free. The invite-only part is custom games built by hand, and nothing on this site ever shows a child a price.
